Meet Miss Chinenye Ezurike, the winner of Miss Nigeria USA 2011 Pageant. Miss Ezurike will represent Nigeria in the annual Miss Africa USA Pageant, and she’ll compete with 57 representative of other African Countries for the coveted crown and title of MissAfrica USA 2011.

The annual Miss Africa USA aims to empower young African Women in America. The vision is for African girls in America to shine the spotlight on Africa, tell their stories to the world, and empower other African girls/women to be proud of their heritage. The 2011-12 Miss Africa USA pageant will be held at the prestigious Hilton Hotel in Maryland, from November 10 to 14, 2011.

The winner of the Pageant will have the responsibility of promoting the African Culture in USA and Africa.

Miss Chinenye Ezurike, Miss Nigeria USA, is an ambassador of RED PUMP PROJECT, a non-profit organization focused on raising awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS in Africa and USA especially among women and girls. On Thursday, April 22 2010 at approximately 8:30-8:45 P.M Nigerian local time, Nigeria lost one of the greatest rappers ever to emerge on the African scene. Dagrin, born Dapo Olaitan Olaonipekun passed away at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) after battling serious injuries from his auto accident last week. With confirmation from Edlyne record’s C.E.O, his family and LUTH, it is hard to imagine that this lyrical genius is gone at the tender age of 23. He may be gone, but his memory, and must importantly his music will live with us forever. RIP Dagrin…You will be missed!
